Residents of the Namiepe area, Namicopo district, Nampula province, lynched two people posing as naparamas at the weekend.

Refers the News that the alleged naparamas intended to steal a motorcycle, but were prevented by the population who resorted to private justice.

About two weeks ago, individuals calling themselves naparamas vandalized infrastructure in the districts of the city of Nampula. In Namicopo, the police post was vandalized. The area has no police protection.

In the current situation, said a resident of the neighborhood, even the leadership structures are hiding their identities to avoid reprisals. "They are being hunted".

The Republic of Mozambique Police in Nampula are unaware of the case, but promise to investigate.
