This morning, a group of people set fire to the offices of the Trans African Concession company at the Maputo tollbooth.
Specifically, the company's maintenance facilities caught fire. Within its perimeter were two vehicles which were also set on fire.
The act stemmed from the refusal of motorists to pay road tolls in the country, under the "decree" of Venâncio Mondlane, who proclaimed himself the winner of last October's elections.
The tollbooth has been completely blocked and a contingent of police is on the scene looking to re-establish it.
In the Casa Branca area, two people were shot, including a child. The police took them to a nearby health unit.
