PGR diz que Venâncio Mondlane violou Constituição da República ao publicar o Decreto no “Jornal do Povo”

The Attorney General's Office (PGR) says that Venâncio Mondlane violated articles 157 and 159 of the Constitution of the Republic by publishing a supposed Decree No. 1/2027 of 17 January of 30 social and economic measures aimed at the socio-economic stabilization of the country.

The decree was published in the "Jornal do Povo", which in the meantime practiced "clandestine press", since it was not registered with the Information Office (GABINFO).

The Attorney General's Office believes that the creation of the alleged newspaper could lead to the misconception that there is another channel for the publication of the government's normative acts.

"This act constitutes a prerogative reserved for the competent organs of the state, and is published in the Boletim da República," reads a note to which we have had access.

The PGR also says that the alleged appointment of new district administrators, heads of administrative posts, neighborhood secretaries and heads of localities constitutes an illegality and subverts the principle of the democratic rule of law.

"As a result of the facts, appropriate proceedings are being initiated to ensure that the proper responsibility is taken," he said.
