A man over 40 years old, a bricklayer living in the Intaka neighborhood of Matola, took his own life on Thursday night, motivated by remorse.
According to a TV MiramarWhen the bricklayer was building a fence for an alleged agent of the Rapid Intervention Unit, his neighbor, and when the work was finished, the bricklayer demanded payment, for which he was beaten, resulting in a fractured arm.
When he returned from the hospital, already wearing a plaster cast, he went to the alleged agent's house to demand the money, but was beaten up again, which caused him to feel so remorseful that he hanged himself.
The inconsolable people went to the house of the officer in question, tore down the wall, the walls of the house and set fire to everything, meaning that the whole house was reduced to ashes and the officer had to leave the house.
