Today, the Assembly of the Republic (AR) approved, in general terms and by consensus, the bill on the Political Commitment for a National and Inclusive Dialogue submitted to parliament as a matter of urgency by the President of the Republic, Daniel Chapo.
"I declare approved, in general, the draft law on the Political Commitment for a National and Inclusive Dialogue and it should be noted that it was by consensus, unanimity and acclamation," said the President of the RA, Margarida Talapa.
The document will set out the principles for a multilateral dialogue to establish agreements on the need to revise the Constitution of the Republic, state reform, the justice system and electoral law.
From the perspective of the Minister in the Presidency for Parliamentary Affairs, Eduardo Mulembué, the document is the result of efforts to stabilize the country's socio-economic situation, which is going through one of the most peculiar periods in its history.
The document provides for the creation of a technical team made up of 21 members, including 18 appointed by the signatory political parties and three from civil society.
