Renamo's presidential candidate, Ossufo Momade, has promised to rehabilitate the road linking the districts of Gilé and Pebane, in the central province of Zambézia, if elected.
Speaking at a rally in the Pebane district, Ossufo Momade also promised to improve the sale of agricultural products, giving producers an advantage.
On his way to Pebane, Ossufo Momade, quoted by the newspaper "The Country", took advantage of his stops to publicize his election manifesto, highlighting the construction of roads and economic infrastructure as his government's priority.
"The first thing we're going to do is rehabilitate the road. Our road needs to be in a passable condition to allow agricultural products to flow. With the road in good condition, those who also come to buy agricultural products will have good conditions. Vote for Ossufo Momade and Renamo to create better conditions for yourselves and for the country," said Momade.
Renamo's presidential candidate also promised that, if elected, he would intervene in the agricultural marketing sector, in order to establish fair prices for the purchase of agricultural orders coming out of Pebane.
"You produce corn, mapira, cashew nuts and many other things, but when it comes to marketing, the buyers determine the price, and we don't want that, we want to change that. As soon as you vote for us on October 9, we're going to work to change that."
