This Monday, the Mambas national soccer team begins its preparations for the matches with Eswatini, which will be played in the 3rd and 4th rounds of group I of the CAN 2025 qualifying tournament..
The countdown to "Operation Eswatini" will be marked by clashes at the Zimpeto National Stadium (ENZ) on October 11 and Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit, South Africa, three days later.
This Monday, the Mambas start preparing for the double-header that could lead to qualification for CAN Morocco 2025.
At the end of today, some of the players concentrated in one of the capital's hotels and are expected to start training tomorrow.
The national team will have to complete four training sessions before receiving Eswatini, according to a source from the Mozambican Football Federation.
For this double-header, national coach Chiquinho Conde has called up 25 players, as opposed to the usual 23.
Of note is the return of Mozambican internationals Alfonso Amade and Clésio Baúque, players who missed the games against Mali and Guinea Bissau at the start of the CAN access phase.
Amade, incidentally, is the only one of the 23 players in the squad who is without a club, a situation which, incidentally, meant that he wasn't called up for the first two matches in the run-up to the African Nations Championship in Morocco. (O País)
