The numbers being reported daily by the United Nations show a huge migration flow out of Ukraine.
Following Russia's invasion of Ukrainian territory over the past six days, it is estimated that almost 680,000 people have left Ukraine for neighboring countries.
According to information posted on Twitter by Filippo Grandi, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the "number of people who have fled Ukraine to neighboring countries has reached 677,000."
In the same publication, cited by Lusa, it clarifies that the United Nations humanitarian agencies and partner Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's) have launched an international "appeal" for "1.7 billion dollars" to be donated.
This is an amount that is intended to provide support both to refugees who have fled to other countries, and to people who have remained in Ukraine.
