The second day of debates will be marked by the presence of Portuguese-speaking countries in the General Assembly

Two more leaders from Portuguese-speaking countries will make their speeches at the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) on Wednesday, reports UN News. 

Jorge Carlos Fonseca, president of Cape Verde, will be the first to represent the Portuguese-speaking countries and the eighth to take the stage. And the second will be the president of Guinea-Bissau, Umaro Sissoco Embalo. Both representatives will be at the United Nations headquarters. 

On Thursday, the head of state of Angola, João Lourenço, is expected. And next Monday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Communities of São Tomé and Príncipe, Edite Ten Jua, will address the General Assembly. 

Mozambique will be represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Verónica Macamo, speaking on the last day of the debates, thus closing the participation of the Portuguese-speaking representatives.
