Schools that have not yet reached the target of enrolling students for first grade in the 2025 school year will be able to continue enrolling children even after the official deadline of December 31st.
The guidance, according to the Ministry of Education and Human Development (MINEDH), quoted by "Noticias", aims to ensure that no child of school age is left out of the system, since the last update made in the first half of December indicated that only 900,000 of the 1.6 million places were filled.
The country's southern provinces had the lowest percentages compared to the national average of 55% Tete, Cabo Delgado and Niassa had the best performance, filling more than half of the available vacancies.
