Yesterday, at the Business Lounge by Nedbank, an informal talk was held with the renowned Mozambican writer, Ungulani Ba Ka Khosa, about his work "The Survivors of the Night".
This was a discussion open to guests that counted not only with the presence of the author, but also Mbate Pedro who made the presentation of the book, joined by the President of the Executive Committee of Nedbank, Joel Rodrigues.
This initiative happens in the scope of the dynamization of Nedbank's multipurpose space, the Business Lounge, which is an absolutely innovative counter concept in the market.
"The Night Survivors" is a dense novel, formed by a narrator stupefied by the horrors of war. But in front of him there are no battles: there are only four boys confined in a military camp, whose past history he avidly pursues. In this quest, the narrator strives to recall the smallest details of each individual's story.
"Receiving in our Business Lounge one of the most renowned writers of Mozambique is for us a reason for enormous pride, and this conversation is another example of what we want this space to be. A space for all, customers and non-customers, multi-purpose located in one of the main avenues of the city of Maputo, where more than a new form of branch is recognized, a hub of culture and new trends. Said Joel Rodrigues regarding this first cultural debate.
