Nedbank Moçambique recently presented the Mobile Banking app MyUeyaimed at private customers of the bank in a first stage. The bank's IT Administrator, Elsa Graça, said that the app will be available soon.
The bank unveiled this novelty in the eighth edition of Moztech. The application developed by Mozambicans, mostly Nedbank Mozambique employees, and as projected, should meet the needs of its clients.
Nedbank Mozambique presented MyUey and said that the app is based on three principles (Experience Personalization, Process Simplicity and Communication and Support). The app intends to allow a more user-friendly and intuitive use. This is a way to differentiate itself from other apps that lead their users to adapt to them, without considering their background or experience.
Nedbank Mozambique results from the integration of Banco Único into the African financial group Nedbank. This merger, which occurred at the end of the first half of this year, aims to be the ideal partner of large and medium-sized companies in financing projects of natural resources exploration, infrastructure, industry and agriculture.
The Nedbank Group, through its alliance with the African banking group EcoBank, is represented in 39 countries in Africa and worldwide.
"The name change is recognition of the importance of doing business in Mozambique. For us as a group it demonstrates the commitment to become leaders in the Mozambican financial sector." Nedbank's Executive Director on the African continent, Terence Sibiya, recognizes that "Mozambique is one of the fastest growing markets on the continent."
