The representative of the Optimist Party for the Development of Mozambique (Podemos), Dinis Tivane, explained yesterday that the Constitutional Council (CC) was unable to approve the results of the October 9 elections announced by the National Electoral Commission (CNE).
During a live broadcast on a social network, in which he discussed the appeals submitted to the CC, he said that in many cases the universe of voters and registrants exceeds the real statistical data.
According to Tivane, in the case of Inhambane, the data provided by the CNE can only be real within five years.
"We are bringing this data to make Mozambique and the CC aware that there are no conditions for approving the CNE's decision. It's scientific heresy because it's statistical data and there's no way the data can be used. It falsifies the population statistics, the universe of registered voters and, therefore, the election itself," he said.
The representative also noted that Podemos' skill was in submitting the appeal to the CC where it demonstrated the stuffing of ballot boxes or the tampering with the results, by presenting the number of registrants "who were supposed to vote" and then those who actually voted "more".
