According to a Sunday newspaperThe members of the polling stations do not agree with the amount set for the food allowance, which has been set at 500 meticais, and are therefore refusing to take the voting kits from the warehouse to the polling stations.

Meanwhile, the director of the district elections commission in the city of Nampula, Ossufo Ossufo, says he doesn't know the real cause of the unrest that began in the early hours of today, "because the table was presented at the time of the candidacy and was approved for the whole country".

According to the same publication, at Nampula Secondary School, where the District Commission is based, the MMV formed a crowd and officers from the Mozambique Republic Police were deployed to ensure the safety of the materials and calm the group's tempers.
