The Nampula Municipality expects to invest more than 120 million meticals in the paving of roads that give access to the neighborhoods, acquisition of equipment and other initiatives.
The amount, as Notícias reports, comes from various sources, from its own revenues, the Road Fund, the Municipal Investment Fund, and from partners.
All the projects are foreseen in the business plan and budget for 2022, and in a first phase the priority was defined as filling potholes with asphalt in the city's streets and avenues.
According to the director of the Office of Communication and Image, Nelson Carvalho, while this is happening the roads in different neighborhoods will be paved, including the construction and rehabilitation of sidewalks and the maintenance of buildings such as the headquarters of administrative posts, social directorates and the markets.
Our source also indicated that his institution intends to acquire equipment, especially a platform lift, forklift, asphalt chair, and a tanker truck. The equipment will reinforce the existing machinery park, which will be useful in the opening of the circular road, an access road that will decongest the Avenida do Trabalho.
