Businessman and founder of the former Mica Group (2002) - now Premier SuperSpar - Hussein Ali Ahmad, lost his life at the age of 63.

A statement from the company, shared on social media, does not say what caused the death, but asks for understanding for the closure of the stores.

The stores in Maputo city and one in Matola are closed. A recent announcement from the company indicates that activities will resume on Friday.

The Premier Group is the holding company for several businesses in Mozambique, including the retail and wholesale stores Premier SuperSpar, Maputo Fresh Market and Fantazia.
