Luísa Wacate, a member of the Assembly of the Republic for the Frelimo parliamentary caucus, died yesterday of an illness.

The MP, who represented the Cabo Delgado constituency, lost her life at Pemba Provincial Hospital, and her remains will be buried tomorrow (April 1) in Montepuez.

"At this time of mourning and great sorrow, we extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family, expressing our solidarity and unconditional support," reads a message from the party.
