Mozambique today receives more than two million doses of Covid-19 vaccine. This is a North American donation that aims to ensure the continuity of the immunization process, reaching more and more target groups.
These are Johnson & Johnson immunizers, donated as part of the global COVAX mechanism. These doses come at a time when more than four million people have achieved full immunity, which is 23% of the expected population.
Data from the Ministry of Health (MoH), this weekend, 161 coronavirus infections were detected in the country, in the same period in which eight patients had to be hospitalized for complications linked to the disease.
According to MISAU, health statistics indicate that more than half of the infected are located in the city and province of Maputo, with 121 patients in isolation and Inhambane, with 22 cases.
