Mozambique could start registering, recognizing and marketing medicines made in Indonesia in national pharmacies, according to the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (ANARME).

Quoted in the "Notícias" publication, Alberto Chambe, administrator for ANARME's Pharmaceutical Operations and Research Area, explained that in addition to registering and recognizing medicines, the institution will be able to train its staff in matters related to medicines and biological products.

"We want to gather experiences from the Indonesian pharmaceutical sector, use the information from the Indonesian regulator, recognize its decisions and based on them also make our decision in the area of drug registration," he said, quoted in the publication.

According to the same source, in the area of regulation, the Indonesians are open to leveraging ANARME in all regulatory functions relevant to Mozambique, such as registration, good manufacturing practices and pharmacovigilance.

Within the next few days, the two sides will be able to sign agreements to make this happen.
