Some analysts believe that Mozambique is entering a crisis and that there is a lack of initiatives to solve the problem of demonstrations against the electoral process.
In a publication by VOApolitical analyst Manuel Alves argues that "the political crisis is getting worse by the day, and dialogue must be the solution", adding, however, that "we are having problems with the crisis of practical initiatives to find a solution to this problem".
"We're taking more time and that makes the already unsustainable problem grow more and more, and the more time we take, the less chance we have of finding peaceful solutions," he insisted.
For his part, Renamo's senior cadre, André Magibire, believes that "there was a lack of political will" for the meeting to take place on Tuesday (26), wondering under what conditions Venâncio Mondlane would come for this dialogue.
"If there are criminal cases against Venâncio Mondlane, the Assembly of the Republic should meet extraordinarily to pass a law to grant amnesty for the crimes he is being accused of," Magibire said.
Political analyst Fernando Mbanze also believes that there are no other ways out of this crisis, "unless we keep trying to talk and create the conditions for the political debate proposed by the Head of State to take place".
In the meantime, the President of the Republic says that he is continuing to work towards a meeting with the four presidential candidates.
