This Wednesday (12), a vast set of actions will be presented in Maputo, carried out by the entity responsible with a view to getting Mozambique off the gray list, among other things.
The presentation will be made by the National Coordinator of the Executive Committee for Policy Coordination and Combating Money Laundering and Terrorism, Luis Cezerino, and aims to inform about the steps taken so far to remove the country from the gray list.
Mozambique has been on the gray list since October 2022. Since then, it has been working towards its removal from the list of countries with some challenges in the fight against terrorism and money laundering.
There is great expectation that Mozambique will probably be removed from the Financial Action Task Force's (FATF) grey list, after having complied with 25 of the entity's 26 recommendations following the VI evaluation.
