Minister for Combatants challenges managers to stop paying ghost employees

Ministra dos Combatentes desafia gestores para acabar com pagamento de funcionários fantasmas

This Monday (09), the Minister for Combatants challenged the human resources managers in her ministry to remain firm in their fight against the problem of paying ghost employees in this institution.

The leader made the remarks in the city of Matola, Maputo province, at the opening of the 15th Coordinating Council of the Ministry of Combatants, which aims to take stock of the work carried out in the period 2020 to 2024.

According to Josefina Mpelo, her ministry "must not continue with this scenario, which is a negative stain on its functioning".

In a publication by Radio Mozambique, She pointed out, however, that over the five years the ministry she heads has made significant progress in terms of paying combatants, financing income-generating projects and awarding scholarships to the children of combatants.
