According to a statement quoted by Sunday newspaperHowever, the tolerance does not cover workers who carry out activities that by their nature should not be interrupted. However, the employer must provide the necessary time off so that they can exercise their right to vote.

"The right to suspension of work does not cover workers who carry out activities that by their nature cannot be interrupted in accordance with the provisions of Article 3(2) and without prejudice to the provisions of Article 8(2) of the Working Hours Regulations," the statement reads.
