The Members Committee of the Maxaquene Sports Club denies the existence of a debt of two million dollars to the International Federation of Associated Football (FIFA) and that it would have led to the suspension of its professional competitions.
Reacting to the news that circulated in the last few days about the financial imbroglio, the commission, represented by Efraime Naftal Tembe and Dádivo José, considered the information to be false, slanderous, and defamatory.
"The members distance themselves from these slanderous and defamatory news circulating in the press and social networks. We do not know where this information was obtained with these astronomical figures, who is the mentor, what is the intention and purpose of bringing to public such a lie," said Efraime Tembe, quoted by lancemz.
Tembe also denied the fact that Maxaquene is barred by FIFA from registering players and participating in professional competitions, arguing that "for a club to be prevented from registering athletes in the TMS, only two situations are posed: failure to present proof of payment of registration of the athlete with the association and when the club owes a player, coach or foreign worker, with the case being res judicata in FIFA and the TAD, in the latter facing an appeal from one of the parties (notified by FIFA).
The Membership Committee reaffirmed that the main soccer team will "compete in the provincial championship" and with a new management will prepare itself to "participate in the competitions in which it is inserted", perhaps the Moçambola.
The previous management of Maxaquene, according to our source, distances itself from the alleged debt is only recognizing liabilities 18 million meticais.
