The Minister of Transport and Communications, Mateus Magala, will today, Monday, guide the opening of the 28th Southern African Regional Climate Outlook Forum (SARCOF-28).

A note from the Ministry indicates that, at the event, experts in the field will release the Seasonal Climate Forecast for the rainy season from January to March 2024 for the entire SADC region, with each member country subsequently drawing up and releasing its own specific forecast.

SARCOF was set up in 1996 by SADC member countries with a view to the Meteorological Services preparing regionally agreed and harmonized seasonal climate forecasts for the rainy season in Southern Africa.
