A drug production factory operated by Mexican and Nigerian citizens, now unknown, was dismantled by the Central Office for Combating Organized and Transnational Crime (GCCCOT), in the town of Vundiça, Maputo province.

According to a Sunday newspaperThe dismantling of that industry followed the arrest of a Mozambican citizen, whose identity was not revealed by the GCCCOT, who is accused of facilitating the entry of foreign citizens into national territory, an act carried out in coordination with some Nigerian citizens and officials from the sector responsible for issuing tourist and border visas.

Following this case, a farm with five properties, two warehouses, five goods vehicles, seven excavators, four four-wheeled motorcycles and eight tractors with various implements and other goods were seized.

"This farm is where the drugs were produced and, in order to conceal the illicit origin of the funds, the group produced some vegetables," said a source from the GCCCOT.
