Two people died and ten others were injured as a result of an accident caused by a passenger bus that suffered mechanical faults in its braking system while driving down Guerra popular avenue in Maputo city.

It was a machimbombo-type car on the Albazine-Baixa route which, as well as causing human casualties, damaged vehicles parked on the side of the road.

According to witnesses heard by STV, the vehicle was speeding down the road and only stopped when it hit a tree on the corner of Josina Machel Avenue.
