This Monday (24), a group of demonstrators destroyed and set fire to the headquarters of Frelimo, Mozambique's ruling party, in the districts of Morrumbene and Maxixe in the southern province of Inhambane.
According to a AIMThe protesters also used a series of heavy objects to block the country's main north-south road (N1), which cites local sources. The demonstrators were demanding a reduction in the cost of living and an improvement in the basic services provided by the state.
During the riots, a policeman who tried to disperse the people in Morrumbene was seriously injured and is now being treated at the local hospital.
