Through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the government is guaranteeing safety and practical support for tourists who come to the country this summer.
The Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, understands that travelers may feel apprehensive about the political and electoral situation in Mozambique, but assures that "the focus remains on ensuring the safety of all citizens, including visitors".
Quoted by Radio Mocambique, she said she was working closely with the private sector of the tourism and travel industry and the local authorities to assist and provide accurate information in case of need.
"The demonstrations are localized and take place in urban areas, outside tourist destinations such as beaches, parks and national reserves, so these places remain safe, unchanged and open to normal activities," he said.
Materula also assured that airports and land crossings are operational, allowing travelers to arrive safely at their destinations.
As the festive season approaches, travelers are encouraged to interact directly with tourism service providers and access up-to-date information to make the most of their plans.
"Mozambique will continue to captivate travelers with its scenic, cultural and gastronomic beauty, offering a unique experience to national and international tourists who must stay informed in order to proactively plan their trips," concluded Minister Materula.
