The national soccer team, the Mambas, have just secured qualification to the final qualifying round for CHAN 2023, after beating Zambia, in Lusaka, by one ball without reply.

Lau King was the author of the only goal, in the 81st minute, that put the Mambas in the way of Malawi, in the last elimination round.

Lau King, who came on as a second-half substitute for Isac, turned out to be the hero for the Mozambicans, scoring the winning goal, the second against Zambia on home soil, after deflecting a first attempt from Telinho.

The next elimination round, against Malawi, will take place next October.
