The Mozambican national soccer team has climbed two places in the FIFA World Ranking announced this Thursday (28), currently occupying 96th place with 1232.7 points. In the previous ranking, the Mambas were 98th with 1229.01 pointss.
According to the update released by FIFA and quoted by NewsThe Mambas collected 3.69 points on the last FIFA date of November, when they played the fifth and sixth rounds of Group "I" qualifying for CAN-2025, the final stage of which will take place in Morocco.
In the games in question, Chiquinho Conde's team lost at home to Mali (0-1) and won in Guinea-Bissau (1-2), qualifying for CAN-2025 with 11 points, three less than Mali (14), but six and nine points ahead of Guinea-Bissau (5) and Eswatini (2), who failed to qualify.
The next update of the FIFA Ranking, the last one for 2024, is scheduled for December 24.
