Mambas realizam hoje primeiro treino em Joanesburgo

The National Football Team, the Mambas, will kick off their first training session in Johannesburg this Friday as part of their preparations for the African Nations Championship (CAN), which will take place between January 13 and February 11, 2024 in Ivory Coast.

Chiquinho Conde's men have been on South African soil since Thursday and are due to complete their preparation program, including friendly matches, until January 9, when they head to the CAN stage.

The national coach's assurance is that the Lesotho national team will play a friendly match against the Mambas on January 6, says the News.

Meanwhile, some of the players called up by Chiquinho Conde will only be able to join the Mambas squad in January because they are playing for their club teams.

Today, Desportivo de Chaves' Ricardo Guimarães and Bruno Langa take on FC Porto at the Estádio do Dragão. Tomorrow, Geny Catamo will play in Sporting's visit to Portimonense. The matches are part of the Portuguese First League.

In the first phase of CAN, Mozambique will face Egypt, Ghana and Cape Verde in group 'B'.
