The Mozambican national soccer team, Mambas, will know tomorrow, Monday (27), their opponents and the group they will be in at the African Nations Championship (CAN-2025), to be held from December 21 this year to January 18, 2026..
The draw will take place in Rabat, the capital of Morocco.
Mozambique will find out which group it will be in and which opponents it will face in the first round, and there is not much to choose from given the quality of the teams present, including seven-time champions Egypt and defending champions Côte d'Ivoire.
The fact that the Mambas are in Pot 4, i.e. the lowest-ranked teams, doesn't give them much room for maneuver, because they won't avoid duels with the favorite nations in the pots above.
The Mozambican team, which is taking part in its sixth CAN, its second in a row, after being in Côte d'Ivoire in January last year, already knows that the Comoros, Tanzania, Sudan, Zimbabwe and Botswana will not be its opponents in the regular phase, as they are in the same pot.
