Final preparations are underway for the 1st Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Exhibition of Southern Africa and the 2nd of Eastern Africa, which will take place on April 17 and 18 in the city of Maputo.
With more than 2,000 visitors expected, the event will feature 30 speakers, more than 30 exhibitors and will include 5 panel discussions on the LPG sector.
On Thursday, April 11, the event's main partners, namely the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy (MIREME), the Energy Regulatory Authority (ARENE), the Mozambican Association of Oil Companies (AMEPETROL) and GALP, spoke about the expectations and objectives of the exhibition during a press conference held in Maputo.
The main aim of the exhibition is to promote LPG as one of the cleanest sources for cooking in Mozambique and the region, bringing together the main players in the sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the regional industry.
This initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between the region's LPG markets, promoting the exchange of ideas and best practices.
During the two days of the exhibition, there will be a conference led by MIREME, ARENE, AMEPETROL and the World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA), where experts from more than 15 different countries will share experiences and discuss the challenges in promoting clean cooking in the region.
The World Liquid Gas Association (WLGA) will also be organizing a workshop on clean cooking and safety, open to all industry stakeholders and individuals interested in learning more about LPG and its safe operation.
This event represents a unique opportunity to promote the use of LPG as a clean energy for cooking, boost economic development and create jobs in the countries of the region.
