More than 63,000 customers of Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM) in the central and northern parts of the country are still without power due to damage to electrical infrastructure caused by storm Ana.
In the province of Tete, the districts of Macanga, Tsangano and Angónia are still without power, in Manica the village of Shoa, in the district of Bárue, is affected, and in Sofala the district of Marromeu is still without power.
A note from EDM, shared this Wednesday with the press, states that in the northern part of the country, the districts of Murrupula, Moma and part of the administrative post of Anchilo, in the province of Nampula, and the district of Muidumbe, Cabo Delgado, are without power.
Meanwhile, EDM reports that technicians from the company are working to restore power in the areas affected by Tropical Storm Ana.
