Lille refuses Atlético Madrid's proposal on Reinildo Mandava

Atlético Madrid have put forward a proposal to sign Mozambican international Reinildo Mandava, from Lille in France. Mandava's current club refused to sell the player for about 144 million meticais (about two million euros).

On Monday morning, the Mozambique international was in Madrid to conduct tests at the local Atlético club.

Reinildo Mandava's contract expires next June 30th, and "there is willingness from both parties, Atlético and Reinildo, who want to resolve the issue so that the full-back can join the club and be available for the next game against Barcelona," wrote the Spanish newspaper Marca in Tuesday's edition, according to Lance.

The parties intend to conclude negotiations on the acquisition of Reinildo Mandava still within the transfer window that closes next Monday, January 31.

If there is no transfer by one of the clubs by the end of the transfer window, Lille could see Reinildo leave the club for free in the next six months.

Lille signed Mandava from Belenenses of Portugal for about 216 million meticais (close to three million euros).
