The Mozambican airline, LAM, had to cancel its Maputo-Quelimane flight in the early hours of Sunday morning due to a faulty aircraft.
In a statement sent to MZNews a few minutes later, the national flag carrier said that the malfunction was detected when the aircraft was preparing to take off at Maputo International Airport.
In order to guarantee operational safety, LAM said in the same statement that the aircraft had been sent for intervention by the technical team.
"The passengers affected will be transported on the next flight whose schedule is already being shared," says LAM, which apologizes to passengers and reiterates its commitment to comply with operational safety standards.
