The national team doctor guarantees that the players are all fit for Thursday's match against Uganda, which is part of the fifth qualifying round for the World Cup-2026.

The squad led by Chiquinho Conde is complete and on Tuesday afternoon all the players trained.

The initial concern was about Geny Catamo and Bruno Langa, the last to join the squad, but Raúl Cossa assures us that this is no longer the case.

"All the players are currently available to play in the next game against Uganda. We had some concerns until this morning (yesterday) about the players arriving a little later, namely Geny Catamo, Reinildo and Bruno Langa, because we didn't know very well what their state of health would be, but they arrived fine," he said, quoted in a publication by "O Pais".

"We hope that the joy and health of the players continues until the day of the match with Uganda," said Raúl Cossa.

With regard to the rest of the players, the national team doctor assures us that they are in perfect condition and that Chiquinho Conde is counting on them. "At the moment we don't have any worrying situations, and I hope that continues. And it's good for us, because all the players are at the disposal of the technical team, who can choose who is in the best condition to be included in the list of those selected to play against Uganda," he said.

Cossa also analyzed the weather in Pharaonic lands, which he considers to be good for playing soccer, because "it's neither too hot nor too cold. It's a temperature you can play soccer in. It's not too high or too low. I think the temperatures here should be around 23, 24 degrees".

The Mambas trained this Wednesday at the Cairo International Stadium, the venue for Thursday's match against Uganda in the fifth round of group G qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. (Source: O País)
