The Minister of Economy and Finance, Adriano Maleiane, made it known on Monday that there are no conditions for the payment of the thirteenth salary in the civil service.
This information comes after the government itself gave assurances about a month ago that the thirteenth salary would be paid to civil servants.
Speaking on the cameras of Television Miramar, Maleiane was clear in stating that the money available was only enough to pay the salaries for December, as well as to resolve some specific issues, especially with regard to education.
According to Maleiane, the government is currently working to ensure that the civil service doesn't miss January's salary.
Maleiane reiterated that the will existed for the payment of the thirteenth, but the current situation did not allow it.
