The National Institute of Statistics (INE), announced, this Wednesday, that the national year-on-year inflation rose from 6.42%, in October, to 6.77%, in November, this year.
Thus, the pace of price increases remains above 6% for the third consecutive month, when compared to the homologous period of 2021.
Monthly inflation in November was 0.99%, and cumulative inflation this year now stands at 5.17% - the year 2020 ended with a value of 3.52%.
Transportation, housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels were the items that contributed the most to the consumer price index in November.
The CPI figures are calculated from the price variations of a basket of goods and services, with data collected in the cities of Maputo, Beira, and Nampula.
