INAM: "It is premature to conclude whether tropical cyclone EMNATI will hit Mozambique

The National Institute of Meteorology (INAMI) says it is still premature to conclude whether or not tropical cyclone EMNATI, which formed off the east coast of Madagascar, will hit Mozambique.

At this moment the EMNATI cycle, which has the potential to develop into an intense tropical cyclone, has decreased its speed from 160 to 11 kilometers per hour and maintains its direction towards Madagascar.

It is expected to hit the east coast of Madagascar next Tuesday.

INAM continues to monitor the phenomenon and calls on the population to continue to monitor the meteorological information and the warnings issued by the competent national authorities.
