The National Inspectorate of Economic Activities (INAE) found at least 85 technical and professional institutes operating irregularly between February and March.
The findings were made thanks to complaints from students, parents and guardians, during inspections by INAE, in coordination with the Education and Culture sector.
According to the head of INAE's Education and Culture department, Leonor Mabutana, some institutions have found expired licenses, unaccredited courses, trainers and directors who are not qualified or competent to carry out their duties, among other things.
The majority of establishments operate without a license granted by the competent authorities, construct buildings without permits from the municipalities and do not have permits for consultancy.
Offenders will be fined, suspended or permanently closed, depending on the seriousness of the infringement.
