The award took place on Monday (26.08) at the official opening ceremony of the 59th edition of FACIM, at an event led by Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique.
"HCB's award has a very important symbolism for the Board of Directors and the employees, in recognition of the strategic and structuring role that the company plays in Mozambique's economy, which encourages us greatly," the company's management said in a statement to which we had access.
HCB generates revenues of around 500 million dollars a year, 2023 results, and by the end of the first half of 2024 the company's revenues were already in the region of 300 million US dollars,
This figure, according to the company, could influence the level of contribution in taxes, fees and dividends to Mozambique, which has been one of the largest in the state business sector.
It should be noted that HCB is in the process of preparing its 2025/2034 strategic plan with a focus on diversifying, expanding and growing its production capacity to 4,000 MW in order to consolidate its relevance in the energy sector and contribute to making Mozambique one of the world's leading energy companies. hub regional energy.
