According to a statement sent to our newsroom, the Group reached the historic milestone of 1,171 million euros of consolidated turnover, an increase of 211 million euros compared to 2020, translating into a growth of 21.91TP2Q.

EBITDA reached 183 million euros, 17.81TP2 more than the previous year and the operating result exceeded 100 million euros. Net income was €37.9 million, representing an increase of 72% above fiscal 2020.

The statement also refers that in external markets, Grupo Visabeira's main strategy remains the growth of its core activities - provision of telecommunications and energy network engineering services - for the main European and North American operators, strengthening its position in these markets. In 2021, these markets represent 72.6% of the Group's turnover.

"It is important to emphasize that organic growth was the main pillar of the group's outstanding performance, particularly in the telecommunications and energy network engineering business area," reads the company's document.

Africa, by contributing about 102 million euros, had a weight of about 9% of the Visabeira Group's total turnover.

In the Mozambican market, the company says that despite the negative impact on the country's economy caused by several factors, with emphasis on the pandemic and instability in Cabo Delgado province, the Group managed to increase its turnover by 10.4% in 2021 leveraged by the growth of businesses such as electricity (Electrotec) and real estate (Imovisa), but also by the consolidation of the telecommunications business (TvCabo and Televisa) and construction (Martifer-Visabeira, Sogitel and Hidroáfrica).
