Social activist Graça Machel will be in Cape Verde in the next few days to participate in several events, including one organized by the government and another by the Pedro Pires Institute, to talk about women's leadership and development.

"I have the honor to announce that Dr. Graça Machel is my special guest at the next edition of the 'Prime Minister Speaker Series', to be held on Saturday," announced today the Cape Verdean Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, quoted by Lusa news agency.

"As a politician, human rights activist, winner of the North-South Prize and of the UN Nansen Medal, she will share her experience in the issues of development, education, gender equality and the fight against poverty," the head of the government said.
