The government is mobilizing resources for the resumption of asphalting works on regional road 657, which connects Cuamba in Niassa, to Magige in Zambézia.

The asphalting work was halted in March 2019, due to the termination of the contract with the contractor and the delay in the disbursement of funds by the Portuguese government through Caixa Geral de Depósitos.

The Secretary of State for Niassa Province, Dinis Vilanculo, informed that up to now 27 kilometers have been paved, out of about 90, and 148 drainage structures have been built.
