About 900 million meticais is the amount that the Government will invest in seven provinces of the country, in order to boost the value chain of commercial fishing and aquaculture.
The investment comprises the second phase of the implementation of the program "More sustainable fish in the provinces of Niassa, Nampula, Cabo Delgado, Zambézia, Tete, Manica and Sofala".
The program was launched, this Saturday, in the administrative post of Murebwe, in the district of Mecúfi in Cabo Delgado, by the Minister of Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Lídia Cardoso.
The initiative also foresees support actions for individual and collective fishermen, among others.
"In the coming months we expect to cover four thousand artisanal fishermen and sixteen companies, this will create jobs for about five thousand people and will benefit about twenty thousand individuals," said the governor quoted by the press.
