Spanish government reduces isolation of Covid-19 infected from ten to seven days

The Public Health Commission, formed by the Ministry of Health and the general directors of Public Health of the Autonomous Communities, meeting today, agreed to shorten the isolation period for people infected with Covid-19 from ten to seven days.

As reported by health sources quoted by "Notícias ao Minuto", unvaccinated people who have been close contacts of a positive case will also see the isolation period reduced to seven days.

Already last week the need for isolation for children had been removed.

The rule already stated that vaccinees who were in close contact did not need to go into quarantine. Government sources explained that the reduction of isolation to five days - as was done in the United States - was ruled out.
