The Intersectoral Committee for Support to Youth Development managed to achieve last year 60% of the 121 planned actions in the area of support to adolescents and young people.
This data was made public last week during the plenary of the Intersectoral Committee of Support for the Development of Adolescents and Youth chaired by the Prime Minister, Carlos Agostinho do Rosário.
The event was intended to review the activities carried out in 2021 in the context of youth and to look ahead to actions for the current year.
On the occasion, Do Rosário said that youth issues have been highlighted in governance plans, taking into account the role and the need for greater participation of this group in the country's development.
"The issue about youth is always structuring. As we have always said, it is the sap of the nation. A healthy youth is a youth that can contribute to the development of the country. Youth issues are always a priority and at the top of the governance of our country," he said.
The Secretary of State for Youth and Employment, Oswaldo Petersburg, said, in turn, that the Government continues to prioritize access to decent housing, employment and self-employment, entrepreneurship, and digital inclusion.
Speaking at the end of the meeting, he explained that youth participation in socio-economic areas has received attention in governance plans.
