The Zambezia provincial government wants to see more jobs created and agricultural production increase in the new Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact that may start soon.
According to Pio Matos, governor of Zambezia, the new investment package funded by the U.S. government should revive the economy and promote social development initiatives.
Speaking Thursday in Quelimane, Zambezia province, at a meeting with the coordinating team of the Millennium Challenge Corporation of the United States of America, Pio Matos said that the project priorities should be agribusiness, climate change, communication infrastructure and support to the private sector, aiming to industrialize Zambezia province.
"We have resources and potentialities that are still dormant. The priorities identified are in the Government program and are part of the areas that can stimulate the economic growth of Zambézia province," he said.
